McQueary Prayer Letter ~ November, 2007
Dear Ministry Friends:
Our deputation journey continues to be one of both blessings and challenges. Our early deputation meetings have been in the Indianapolis area where our mission headquarters is located. Following meetings scheduled in Florida this month we head back to the Midwest for December and January. We are grateful for the hand of the Lord on this part of our ministry. We are experiencing exceptional interest from pastors and congregations for the ministry endeavor to which God has called us: reaching the Muslim world of Western Asia with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray for the power of God upon our times spent presenting this great work. Also, pray that our Spring and Summer schedule will fill. We desperately need a large prayer support network as we enter one of Satan’s most active strongholds.
We returned in late September from the inaugural BIEM conference on Muslim evangelism held in Kiev, Ukraine. The conference was a huge spiritual blessing to each attendee with a total attendance of 750 different people attending from Monday through Saturday with 13 different countries represented. God answered prayer with 2 salvation decisions, 70 respondents indicated they were interested in being a missionary, 32 said they believed God has called them to missionary work and 18 said God was calling them specifically to Muslim missions! Praise the Lord! Continue to pray that God’s people will be tenderly open to His voice as He calls laborers into His harvest.
The Lord continues to amaze us with His faithfulness and supply for this great work. Recently, following an introduction to this new direction our mission board has taken to bring the Muslim world of Western Asia the gospel, a dear Christian supplied the funds needed to secure a building location in Istanbul. This gift will enable us to begin this much needed work immediately while the door of opportunity is open. Most of you know the volatile political scenes in this part of our world can slam this door shut at any time. Jesus’ words in John 9:4 become a somber reality in the face of this effort to reach millions of Muslims; “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”
Thank you for joining with us in this good work. Whether your support is primarily in prayer or you have committed to both pray and give to our financial support regularly, you are vital to us. Without your participation and others like you, our work for God is affected. We depend on you. Please join with us in asking God to raise up a huge army of believers to join this battle for the souls of millions in Western Asia.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for continued progress and God’s hand of blessing on our deputation ministry. Our personal support level is presently at 6%.
Pray for our health, safety and expenses as we travel on deputation.
Pray for our follow up of those individuals whom God called into Muslim ministry from the September, 2007 conference in Kiev, Ukraine.
Pray for the selection of a location for our training center in Istanbul.
Pray for the increased spread of the gospel in Western Asia.
Your servants for Jesus’ sake,
Bob and Gayle McQueary
“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.” (Colossians 4:2-4)
