Fred and Margie Canaday are the parent’s of six
children. They began to work
in Romania and Moldova in 1990 and became BIEM's Field Director for
Romania and Moldova in 1997. BIEM presently supports 10
National missionaries in Romania and Moldova. As BIEM Field Director for Romania and Moldova, Fred
oversees these National missionaries’ activities by monthly
reports and personal visits. The Canadays are involved in planting
churches, operating two Bible Institutes, and in the process of
completing two building programs. Other activities include evangelism and
literature distribution. The Canadays’ purpose is to train and equip
National Pastors to more effectively reach their own people. They are
constantly involved in efforts to raise support for these men. In the past
5 1/2 years since the ministry began, BIEM has seen dozens of churches
planted, and hundreds of people that have come to Christ. Although
persecuted and weak, these new churches are enthusiastically reaching out
to neighbors and friends, building local indigenous Baptist Churches in
Romania and Moldova. BIEMs goals are to strengthen the works that have
already begun, finish the two current major building programs, and
continue strategically reach the neighboring villages from strong
centrally located Churches founded in the cities and towns of Romania and
Moldova.
