Rejoice with us!
v The church in Nahabino,
Russia, is filled to overflowing at services. To alleviate crowded
conditions, this church that BIEM helped to plant has now broken ground
to enlarge their building.
v
Igor Fomichov in Goncharivske, Ukraine, was thinking about
an old friend who had become a drug addict. Igor decided to visit that
man and witness to him. Praise God, he turned to Christ for salvation
from sin and from his addiction! Now that new follower of Christ
regularly attends church in Desna.
v
From the Christian Rehabilitation Center comes another
testimony of God’s goodness. Former drug addict Vladimir Zhdanov shares
that “Narcotics mired me in a swamp of evil, lying, and pain…. But I am
very glad that Jesus became the light of my dark life. Praise be to
Him.”
v
Last month we requested prayer for Dr. Ron Brewer, who had
been experiencing his worst back pain in 20 years. In Kiev, Ukraine, he
underwent several treatments by a doctor who was able to lessen the pain
considerably, so he is very thankful for that, but still appreciates
prayer for the situation.

Pray with us!
v
Sometime in June our most recent container of literature,
clothing, computers and a variety of supplies for children’s camps and
the homeless ministry should arrive in Ukraine. Please pray for safe
passage and delivery as this container goes through customs and the
bureaucratic process.
v
BIEM national worker in Russia, Volodya Makarenko, has
been experiencing high blood pressure and heart problems. He has seen
physicians and is undergoing treatment for this, so we want to hold him
up in prayer.
v
Writing from Bila Tserkva, Ukraine, Bruce Tuttle shares
that “In the region of Liten, Pastor Anatoly is presently involved in
church-planting efforts in no less than nine villages, through
the ministry of his home church.” Please pray for spiritual fruit for
these labors.
v
Missionary Charles Hoblitz and his church were elated to
get large, colorful signs with a salvation verse to display from the
windows of their church office. These windows face a major intersection,
and many people testified that they saw the signs and considered the
message. City officials forced them to remove the signs because the
church was not registered as a business “to advertise.” They were even
forced to remove a cross. The church is contesting these decisions and
requests prayer.
