of Light: December 2007 Praises – Rejoice with us! v Removed for security reasons. v Thanks to the generosity of BIEM supporters, Igor Fomichov in Goncharivske, Ukraine, has been able to purchase a Fiat minivan in great shape, which will be a great blessing to the ministry there. v There is an amazing opportunity for our church-planters in Ternopil, Ukraine. One of the college-age students who attends the Bible study has arranged for meetings at the college in connection with a religious fast celebrated by the Orthodox church in that area. We praise God that these meetings will provide a clear Gospel presentation. (Please pray for the salvation of souls!) v In Moldova, Marius Simionas has had difficulty getting permission for his wife and children to remain in the country. (The family is from Romania. Unlike Marius, the wife and children don’t have jobs requiring residency.) But now, an official in Moldova has informed Marius that his wife and family can stay. This is a wonderful answer to prayer. v In Desna, Ukraine, the new church conducted a Christian wedding for a couple named Eugene and Tamara. This is the third young couple reached for Christ and married through this ministry in 2007. Praise God for adding young couples! Prayer – Pray with us! v This observation from one church planter represents many of our workers: “As you have noticed, the dollar has dropped its value around 20% from two years ago. Unfortunately, this affected my regular missionary support as well. Please pray with me to match the cost of ministry and living.” v Summer camp 2008! Although summer seems a long way off, it’s already time to pray for a group of Americans who would like to go and help. Please join us in praying for energetic, godly individuals (high school age and older) who would enjoy having a spiritual impact on young lives for the Lord. v In Farcasa, Romania, Fred Canaday is initiating new efforts aimed at establishing a church. (This is an area where BIEM has been conducting summer camps.) Please pray for God to bless these efforts! v Please pray for a large outreach project in Otradnoye, Russia, on December 16. It will be a Christmas program with an emphasis on the Gospel in a 500-seat conference auditorium. |
