BIEMs of Light: August 2004Praises
– Rejoice with us! v
Last month we mentioned a special need for an event that would open
the door to meeting one of our ministries greatest needs. As some of you
may know, this ministry has operated for years out of a residential garage.
While this started out being economical, it was hampering our ministry and was
becoming increasingly impractical since we eventually had to rent 3 other
separate storage areas. Recently, we had an amazing opportunity to obtain
a facility in west suburban Indianapolis that would meet current and future
needs. However, this opportunity depended on a favorable ruling in a city
zoning meeting we requested special prayer for in our last edition of BIEM's of
Light. After some delay we rejoice to tell you that God has answered
prayer, and we received the favorable ruling requested. Since the Lord has
supplied about half of the funds needed, and we have a year to raise the
remainder, we were able to move into this facility quickly after it became
available. Rejoice with us in this exciting development and please pray
that God will enable us to raise the rest of the funds that are needed.
More information about this exciting development will come out in a letter,
which will accompany our next newsletter "The Challenger" due out
shortly. Thank you for praying! v
Praise God for a wonderful camping season! This summer over
700 attended 15 different BIEM sponsored camps in Ukraine and Russia.
All in locations where we have planted new churches. Many of the camps
were held right on the church sites since this allowed many more children in the
area to attend. Praise God for many who received Christ and made
life-changing decisions as a result of these camps.
Those who gave toward this project will shortly be receiving a report
along with pictures. v
Praise God for the evangelistic soccer tournament on the Ukrainian
military base ministry in Desna conducted by a church group from Pennsylvania!
This group also conducted evangelistic efforts in a new military base ministry
in Goncharovsk, Ukraine, which borders the Chernobyl zone. Hundreds
attended the events on both military bases and over 30 salvation decisions were
made. Prayer – Pray with us! v
Please pray that God would enable Missionary Tim Smith to obtain a
visa to return to his ministry in Magadan, Russia. v
For some time now we have been struggling with beauracratic issues
in our attempts to ship a donated print shop into Moldova to help with
evangelism and church planting efforts there. Please pray that this matter
would be resolved soon. v
Our office relocation project needs your prayers.
Please pray for both for the financial need and for the logistical challenges of
moving. We need it!
